How To Become A USA Softball of St. Louis Member Umpire:
If you are new to St. Louis, or new to USA Softball umpiring, or are looking for ways to improve as a Softball Umpire, then you have come to the right place! Each year, beginning in December, we begin registering USA Softball Member Umpires for the upcoming season. Registration includes your USA Softball Membership Fees (Bollinger USA Softball Insurance Included), USA Softball Rule Book, USA Softball Online Rules Exam, USA Softball Registration Card, and membership to participate in all of our local association events (clinics, breakouts, mini-camps, socials, and end of the season luncheon).

*First Year Registered Member Umpires – We do have registration PAYMENT OPTIONS available to meet your needs should you be unable to pay the entire fees up front. Please contact one of the District UIC’s.
To Begin The Registration Process:
First, complete our ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM. Please try to complete as much of it as possible.
ALL MEMBER UMPIRES – PLEASE consider completing the OPTIONAL ITEMS as well.
Second, the background check… Newly Registered Member Umpires 18 and Over, ALL Fast Pitch Member Umpires 18 and Over, & 18-Over Member Umpires Desiring To Umpire USA Softball Championship Play MUST agree to have a USA Softball Background Check. There is a once-per-year fee of $13.00 which must be paid at RegisterUSASoftball.com after you register with St. Louis. Remember, Background checks MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE umpiring ANY JO Fast Pitch Tournaments.
Third will be the “Safe Sports” requirement. All umpires 18 years or older who officiate JO (youth) games, must complete SafeSport. Directions for completing both the Background Check and SafeSport.
