How To Get Coffee Stains Out Of Carpet

Act Quickly: The sooner you address the coffee spill, the easier it will be to remove. Fresh stains are always easier to clean than dried ones.

Blot, Don't Rub: Use a clean, dry cloth or paper towels to blot the stain gently. Rubbing can spread the stain and push it deeper into the carpet fibers.

Cold Water Rinse: After blotting, pour a small amount of cold water directly onto the stained area. This helps dilute the coffee, making it easier to blot away. Continue blotting with a clean section of the cloth or towel.

Gentle Agitation: Use a soft-bristled brush to gently work the cleaning solution into the stain. Be careful not to scrub too hard, as this could damage the carpet fibers.

Blot Again: After applying the cleaning solution, let it sit for a few minutes, then blot again with a clean, dry cloth to absorb the coffee and cleaning solution.

Rinse with Cold Water: Rinse the area by applying a small amount of cold water, then blot to remove excess moisture.

Repeat if Necessary: If the stain persists, repeat the cleaning process. Some stubborn stains may need a few applications of cleaning solution and blotting to be completely removed.

Dry the Area: Once the stain is removed, lay a dry cloth or paper towels over the area and place a heavy object on top to help absorb any remaining moisture.

Vacuum: After the carpet is completely dry, vacuum the area to restore the texture of the carpet and remove any cleaning residue that may have been left behind.

Stain Remover Application: Apply a carpet stain remover formulated for coffee stains. Follow the instructions on the product label carefully.
